Understanding how one generation impacts the next.
The Intergenerational Health Study (IGHS) is interested in understanding how one generation impacts the next. Understanding the long-term impact of the mother’s health on her child’s health may be helpful in improving the health and wellbeing in subsequent generations. We are currently enrolling 4,900 pairs of mothers and their adolescent and young adult children to study long term health. We will look at many health outcomes, such as heart health, reproduction, and metabolic health.
